Customer Success Manager

Job brief

We are looking for a qualified Customer Success Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with customers and ensuring new sales.

The ideal candidate will be adept at building strong relationships with charities in the area of fundraising and digital communication. As a Customer Success Manager, you should work to satisfy customers’ needs and requests, respond to their queries in a timely manner and aspire to deliver a positive customer experience.

You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills and be customer service-oriented.

You will be able to identify needs and requirements to promote our company’s solutions and ultimately, you should be able to grow our business by building successful, long-term client relationships. You will be part of a small team of 6 people in a startup software platform environment (i.e. a big amount of responsibility and a high degree of freedom).

The position is open for both full-time and part-time applicants.

The recruitment process will involve working through two real work cases with us at a first interview, and then a second interview with the whole team at ZOI.

Build trust-based relationships with a portfolio of clients.
Develop a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements, and help ZOI to meet these needs.

Expand the relationships with existing customers by proposing solutions that meet their objectives and deliver value.

Manage your portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success and protect revenue by helping ZOI to be the partner of choice in the sector.
Ensure the correct onboarding and servicing are delivered to customers efficiently and quickly.

Serve as the communication link between key customers and internal teams.

Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints promptly to maintain trust.

Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships, using existing and potential customer networks.

Build and maintain an overview of the sector, its organisations and people.

Be available to travel to fundraising conferences across Europe and the USA/Canada.


An understanding of digital channels such as Facebook, Google Ads/Grants, YouTube, Instagram and email marketing is key.

Understanding of the charity fundraising sector, both at a national level and the workings of INGO brands.

Proven experience as a relationship builder with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to host and run online meetings with potential and existing clients.
